🌟 A big thank you to our three amazing students who stepped up during 25-26 District Convocation as we welcomed teachers, faculty, abd staff back. They did such a wonderful job getting our year started!   Javis Bennett, Dooly County High School student gave an encouraging speech to the Dooly County employees, Bryant Bolden, 8th grade, led us in prayer, Reighan Anderson, 1st grader gave the welcome, and 5th grader, Janiya Akins, led us in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Today we were thrilled to award them each with a special Dooly K8 t-shirt to recognize their courage and leadership. Senior Sunrise 🌅 This morning, the Dooly County School System celebrated our amazing seniors as they watched the sunrise on their final year of high school. The event was filled with laughter, memories, and a beautiful reminder that their future is as bright as the sun that rose today. ☀️ A special thank you to our superintendent, district leaders, school administrators, K-8 CIS coordinator, and our dedicated teachers for coming out to support our students. Dooly County High School is excited to welcome Mr. Alvin Williams as Dooly County High School’s new principal!! Mr. Alvin Williams is a proud husband and father of two sons. He holds degrees from Alabama State University and Albany State University, as well as an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University. He considers it a true privilege to join a school known for its academic excellence, resilience, and exceptional school community. With 19 years of experience in education, Mr. Williams has served in various roles, including teacher, assistant principal, alternative school director/school climate specialist, and principal. Throughout his career, he has remained dedicated to student success by fostering inclusive, positive learning environments, supporting student achievement, and empowering educators to grow and lead. As he begins this new journey, Mr. Williams emphasizes that his door is always open. He values collaboration, transparency, and mutual respect, and is guided by the belief that decisions should always be made in the best interest of children. He is eager to listen, learn, and lead alongside students, families, and staff. Together, he believes that the Dooly County High School community can ensure every student is equipped to function, thrive, and succeed.
