Congratulations to THIS MONTH'S COIN of DISTINCTION RECIPIENT: Ms. Dana Ivory
Nominated by Dr. Ursula Harris
Servant leaders put the needs of others before their own. Ms. Dana Ivory, DCSS Operations Coordinator, embodies this characteristic of serving 100%. With limited staff, she ensures that our most precious cargo, our scholars, arrive to us safely day after day. This involves strategic logistical planning of routes on good days, in bad weather, when mechanical issues sideline a bus, and when drivers are out.
Ms. Ivory is a role model for other transportation departments in our area as she works with them to coordinate bus routes between districts for McKinney-Vento and foster care students. In addition to this, there are field trips, athletic events, and K8 clinic visits for high school students that require her assistance. And she drives a bus too!
Day after day, she serves the students, staff, and families of Dooly County with a smile, always humble and willing to help and serve. We are grateful for ALL you do and for being a true example of the Dooly Way to Excellence!
