We are celebrating National School Lunch Week October 17-21, 2022. This year's theme is: "Peace, Love and School Lunch" We are asking our Dooly K-8 students to participate by making a poster, showing us what they love about school lunch! POSTER CONTEST: Posters are due to the cafeteria by Tuesday, Oct 18th . Students must list their name, grade, and homeroom on the back of their poster. Poster winners will be announced on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Posters will be displayed in the cafeteria through the end of the month. A special prize will be given to the class room with the most entries. COSTUME CONTEST: Dress up in iconic 70's disco attire on Thursday, Oct 20, 2022 to have your picture taken, and to receive a special treat. We are so excited to see what you all create! This Friday, October 14, 2022, will be our "PINK OUT" game vs Dublin at 7:30 PM. At 7:00 PM, there will be a "Survivors and Remembrance" walk. Breast cancer survivors and loved ones of those who have transitioned are asked to come out to participate in a 1 lap walk around the track. We are asking all Bobcats fans to wear pink. Dear Dooly County, 21st CCLC Parents, Due to the high winds and weather conditions today, the Dooly County 21st CCLC Afterschool Program is canceled for today, Thursday, September 29, 2022, and tomorrow, Friday, September 30, 2022. For today, all students will be dismissed at the end of the regular school day and should use their regular method of transportation home (bus or parent pickup). Unless there are continued weather-related issues, all students, faculty, and staff are expected to return to the afterschool program on Monday, October 3, 2022. School attendance matters! Attendance offers opportunities to learn, build relationships and access supports. September is Attendance Awareness Month at the DCSS. Remember that "Attendance Matters".
Greeting parents, This is a reminder that the Dooly County 21st CCLC program starts today. All registered students in grades K-3, 6, 8, and 10-12 who have registered are expected to remain after school for today's program. Please remember that the program operates Monday-Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Dooly County School buses will transport students home at the end of the program day. Parent pickups may be received at the front of the school building. Dooly County 21st CCLC registration is still open and parents are encouraged to enroll their students.
Dooly County High School will be opening the pond for community fishing on Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 7:30AM until noon. Please bring your own fishing equipment and bait.
Greetings parents, The Dooly County Schools 21st Century Community Learning Centers after-school program registration is on-going. We have several slots available in grades K-3, 6, 8, and 10-12. The 21st CCLC afterschool program will provide students with a snack, homework help, academic support, enrichment activities, and field trip experiences. The program will start on September 6, 2022 and operate Mondays-Fridays from 3:30 PM until 6:00 PM daily. If you need another registration form, please contact your child's school. Registrations will be accepted and processed on a first received, first served basis. Once class size capacity is reached students will be placed on a wait list.
