DCHS Achieves 91.3% Graduation Rate, Exceeds State Average Graduation rates for the state of Georgia have just been released, and the Dooly County High School Class of 2025 graduation rate is 91.3 percent, which is a slight increase from the 2024 graduation rate of 90.9 percent. Dooly County High School’s graduation rate has exceeded the state of Georgia graduation rate (87.2%) again for the sixth consecutive year. The school system reflects an 88.5% graduation rate when Prep Academy, the district’s alternative education program, is included in the formula. DCHS Principal Alvin Williams states, “The 2025 graduation rate shows that our staff is committed to ensuring our students receive their diplomas, which will give them an opportunity to pursue postsecondary education, enlist in the military, or enter directly into the workforce. We are trending in the right direction.” “We take immense pride in our student-scholars and their achievements," states Dr. Sherrod Willaford, Dooly County Schools Superintendent. “This graduation rate reflects the dedication of our incredible scholars, their families, our faculty and staff, community, and business partners, all striving for excellence together. As the graduation rate continues to rise, we draw closer to ensuring our goal of student achievement and success for every student-scholar.” The graduation rate is calculated by using the number of students who graduate within four years from the time they enter high school as freshmen. It also includes adjustments for student transfers.

🇺🇸 Patriot Day | September 11 🇺🇸
Today, we pause to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001 and the courage of the first responders and heroes who served our nation in its time of need.
As a school community, we remain committed to fostering unity, compassion, and respect—values that bring us together even in challenging times.
We invite our Bobcats to take a moment of silence today to reflect and stand together in kindness, honor and gratitude.
