
Here are the Spring 2024 EOC test dates for the high school. Good luck, scholars!


There will be a fan bus going to Wheeler County to support our soccer girls in the 2nd Round of the GHSA State Playoffs. The bus will be leaving the high school at 2:30pm on next Tuesday. The cost to ride the bus will be $10 per person (ticket for game must be purchased separately on GOFAN). You can come pay for your spot at the high school as soon as possible.

Second Grader, Daniel Starnes called the DCSS April School Board Meeting to order, and it was a meeting filled with celebrations! Students and their advisors were recognized for their successes at the Georgia Movie Academy Festival and the Spelling Bee! The school district also celebrated and discussed in greater detail the exciting news and points of success from it's recent highest tier Cognia rating and highest ranking of Accreditation with Quality from the Georgia Accreditation Commission. The Georgia Accrediting Commission is an independent agency that serves to ensure that its members meet certain standards for the operation and support of quality school programs in the State of Georgia. The feedback from both agencies will guide our continuous improvement efforts and help us to ensure growth while enhancing the educational experience for all stakeholders.

What an wonderful day celebrating the Dooly County STAR Student, Calandria Holmes, and STAR Teacher, Valencia Bowens, at the Annual Dooly County Chamber and Dooly County Family Connections Luncheon! We are also proud of and congratulate the Dooly County School System Literacy Council and Communities in Schools, Earl Clark, for the recognitions they earned from the Chamber and Family Connections today!! Go Bobcats!!







On April 8th, Dooly County students and faculty and staff seized learning opportunities with the solar eclipse! JROTC engaged in making and learning how to use a pin point projector for the eclipse. Other teachers and students discussed the next occurrence being in 30 years and many worked hard to get that coveted photograph. Ms. Lamberth was able to capture it perfectly and worked with others to do the same.








Calandria Holmes, a Senior at Dooly County High School has been selected as the 23-24 STAR Student. She is the daughter of Constance Green, and she has chosen Ms. Valencia Bowens as her STAR Teacher. We are so proud of these amazing Bobcats!!
