Happy IT Day! 🎉💻 Today we celebrate our incredible IT team, Ms. Streetman and Mrs. Jackson! 🙌 They are the behind-the-scenes heroes who keep our technology running, our classrooms connected, and our staff and students supported every single day.
From troubleshooting on the spot, to setting up new systems, to answering countless “quick questions” with patience and professionalism. They’re hands-on, always willing to assist, and never hesitate to go the extra mile to ensure that teaching and learning never skip a beat.
THANK YOU for being the problem-solvers, the innovators, and the calm in the storm whenever technology tries to test us! 🖥️

Bobcats in the Lab! 🍓🔬
Even though it’s Homecoming Week, our students are still hard at work and fully engaged in learning. In Biology, students conducted a DNA extraction lab with strawberries—a hands-on, student-led activity that required them to carefully follow directions and work together.
It’s always exciting to see our Bobcats leading their own learning while making science come alive! 🧪🐾

Our Bobcats are hard at work behind the scenes of Homecoming! Mr. Gentry’s students have been busy designing and painting the wooden arch for this week’s Homecoming Dance. Their creativity and teamwork are helping set the stage for an unforgettable night.

Bobcats Show Fight in Home Opener, Fall Short Against Irwin County
On Friday, September 12, 2025, the Dooly County Bobcats hosted the Irwin County Indians for our first home game of the season. Despite a strong performance, the Bobcats fell 21-12 in a hard-fought contest.
The Bobcats actually outgained the Indians by 96 total yards, but unfortunately, that advantage didn’t translate into points on the scoreboard. Still, there were bright spots — especially from our senior leaders.
Senior Standouts:
Seven Sutton rushed for 57 yards and scored one touchdown on just seven carries.
Antavious Hunter added 43 yards on the ground and also found the end zone .
Though the result wasn’t what we hoped for, the effort and energy were undeniable.
Next week marks Homecoming Week, and the Bobcats are fired up for their first in-conference matchup of the season as they welcome Wheeler County to “The Grove” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Let’s pack the stands and show out for our team!
A HUGE thank you to our fans, students, staff, cheerleaders, and band for the incredible support during Friday’s Blackout Game. Your energy made a difference — you truly made Bobcat Nation proud!
Next Week: HOMECOMING!
Next Game: Dooly County Bobcats vs. Wheeler County
📍 The Grove – Vienna, GA
🎟️ General Admission: $10 (includes Tailgating Entry)
🎟️ Student Admission: $8 (with PBIS Badge)
