Hospital Homebound (HHB) provides academic instruction to students who are confined either at home or in a health care facility for periods of time that would prevent normal school attendance. We provide academic instruction based on certification of need by a licensed physician or licensed psychiatrist who is treating the child.

HHB is for a child that has a medical diagnosis that restricts school attendance for 10 consecutive days or has a chronic illness that restricts attendance for 10 or more days over a period of time.

Contact your child’s school and speak to the Student Services Director. She/he can give you an application that must be completed by the Liaison, you and your child’s physician.

If you have further questions regarding Hospital Homebound services, please reach out to the Student Services Team.
